At different stages, students have the wonderful opportunity of being taught by professional theatre practitioners and specialist drama teachers.

This allows students to experience a full range of strategies, tools, techniques and exercises that support their creative development and their understanding of theatre productions. Students experience the magic of co-creating, where all ideas are acknowledged and given value while being supported in their development of a character that is connected to a narrative.

Their journey is also aided by the experience and support of Drama Captains and the Drama Scholars from the Senior school, who will guide them on how to work collaboratively and on how to respond to a range of creative challenges.

Beyond the classroom our students from Lower I upwards can take part in Speech and Drama classes after school. Students work towards Acting, Speaking in Public and Poetry taught by RABBLE Theatre using the LAMDA syllabi. In the summer term Lower I students will work towards a combination of Introductory Stage III and Entry Verse & Prose examinations. Upper I will have the opportunity to have a go at their first solo acting exam. Upper II & Lower III will be looking at Public Speaking with the aim of taking their first Public Speaking exam at the end of the summer term. LAMDA exams are not essential, girls can just enjoy taking part in the lessons!

More information about RABBLE can be found on their website.
