Sport, Music, Drama and Art all form part of our broad curriculum at The Abbey Junior School, and all students participate in regular trips, workshops and residential visits. However, our extra-curricular programme has been crafted to allow each student to try, explore and discover new talents and interests, across a diverse choice of additional activities, as you can see below.

Although we refer to these as ‘extra-curricular’, we see these activities as very much a part of their learning experience, and we encourage every student to give it a go and never stop learning something new.

Our extended lunch break gives plenty of time for students from Lower Preparatory to Upper Junior to eat, socialise and enjoy one of the many inclusive clubs on offer. Whether out on the field playing Ultimate Frisbee or creating colourful leaf collages in Nature Detectives – there is something to inspire everyone. A busy timetable of additional activities takes place after school hours, including after-school fixtures for older sports teams, and you can find out more about these on our Before and After School Care page.
