Reception students have been noticing the signs of Spring and have been exploring the theme of growth and new life. 

They’ve been curious about how new seeds are formed so we’ve been dissecting flowers to discover where and how the new seeds are made and learnt the names of the different parts of a flower. 

We’ve also been very busy in the garden, looking for the signs of Spring and planting some vegetables of our own which we can’t wait to watch grow. The girls have enjoyed some creative activities around the theme of flowers, creating their own representations of spring tulips using water-colours, and making spring blossom using scrunched up tissue paper attached to branches.
