Virtual Physics Olympiad

Three students in Lower VI took part in the first ever Virtual Physics Olympiad on Wednesday 3 March and they performed with excellence. Lila and Elina gained Gold Awards, whilst Emma attained a Bronze Award.

This was the first time that a Lower Sixth Physics Olympiad had been held online. This multiple choice competition looked for quick thinking and fluency in a range of small topic areas, and there were a number of puzzle-like questions requiring the students to calculate small manipulations, and at speed.

5270 students from 380 schools took part in the event that consisted of 40 questions in an hour.
