Reception had a great day outdoors for Gardening Day! They worked so hard revamping the bug hotel, which is now fully stocked and awaiting guests. 

Students were extremely creative using their talents for natural weaving and transient art, using all sorts including feathers, grass and leaves. The flower beds were planted up with the students deciding where they needed colour in the garden and picking the best spot for them to thrive and plant pots were painted and filled ready for spring. 

The birds will be so happy too as there were bird feeder stick men and sticky pine cones full of seeds for them to enjoy. The day was finished off with a story around the fire pit with hot chocolate and marshmallows, a well deserved treat after a very busy, very muddy day.
