The Lower V (LV) Adventure Weekends are certainly a highlight of Abbey life, and the first one of the year started with a splash.
Over the weekend, 10 students from LV travelled to Cardiff to learn the basics of canoeing. It didn’t take long for them to be reaching speeds of 8km/h! They also tried their hand at ‘hot-dogging’, which involves riding challenging sections of white water whilst inside an inflatable two-man kayak.
The students had an amazing weekend, and really enjoyed pushing themselves to try something new. They have written a blog about their experiences, which you can read here.
