On the last form assembly of this term, Upper IIM sought to educate the Junior School on Geoffrey Chaucer’s, ‘The Canterbury Tales’. The story follows a group of pilgrims who are travelling the long journey from London to Canterbury Cathedral to visit the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket. The pilgrims, who come from all layers of society, tell stories to each other to kill time while they travel to Canterbury.
The girls did an excellent job at portraying the importance of individual journey’s and how we all may face bumps in the road – however all have the ability to overcome whatever we may face. The performance began with some energetic dance moves to ‘The Canterbury Tales (California Dreamin’)’ by the Mamas and Papas and remained at this level throughout. Well done girls, for a brilliant performance.
