On Wednesday, Upper II enjoyed a short walk down to the Hindu temple on Whitley Street. On entry, everyone had to remove their shoes and wash their hands to show respect, before being led up a flight of stairs to the temple itself. The girls sat on the floor silently, amazed by the beautiful deities which lined the temple walls. The priest told them all about the gods and goddesses that they could see and told some stories about them. After a question and answer session, the girls left feeling much more informed about Hindu beliefs.
