Lower IIIS took to the stage this week to give a fantastically memorable assembly about World Book Day. As guests and pupils arrived into the hall, they were greeted by colourful onesies and smiling faces sitting at the front of stage. Once the silence hit, the first song began, describing the story of Stig of the Dump. Zog was the next book to be performed where the girls showed us the importance of never giving up. With Mother’s Day approaching, Owl Babies was a very topical tale where the line “I want my Mummy” was heard over and over again. Skipping Rope Snake and The Paper Dolls brought much excitement for the audience with lots of laughter and admiration seen throughout these novels. The girls ended the assembly with another fabulous song about The Worst Witch, another firm favourite of the audiences.
Well done to all involved!Back to newsroom
