Nativity at Nursery and Reception

Well the season is upon us, though as with everything this year it is definitely within the parameters of the ‘new normal’.

The children in Nursery and Reception have had a busy term preparing for our first ‘virtual’ Nativity production. They donned the traditional tea towels and tinsel to tell the story of Christmas in ‘A King is Born’.

Whilst Mary, Joseph and Donkey (with the Baby Jesus lying peacefully in his manger) took centre stage, all of the children from innkeepers to shepherds offered a lovely performance, recalling lines, cues and prompting their peers. They were such professionals they managed to complete most scenes in one take!

Nursery must have a mention too as they twinkled and shone as little stars, putting their ballet skills to good use, as well as being in fine voice for an energetic hunt for somewhere for Mary to and Joseph to stay!

Each child gave their all to the camera and we cannot wait to share this with their families.

A special thanks to all the Nursery and Reception Teams for pulling together the script, choreography, direction, props and costumes.

Miss Helen Wallis was our musical director, I am sure there are one or two ear worms for the coming weeks!
