Lila and Kate – Head Girls 2020/2021

I’m super excited to be starting this term, especially since becoming one of the Head Girls in the middle of a global pandemic was definitely not what I had in mind. Although adjusting to the ‘new way of working’, bubbles and one-way-systems (having spent the past five months in my pyjamas watching Harry Potter) is going to be a challenge, I’m also looking forward to the return of Friday lunches, Sixth Form Book Club and seeing everyone in person every single day! These truly are strange times, so it’s made me really happy to come back and see that The Abbey has not changed one bit.

As much as I enjoyed watching the morning assemblies with a blanket and cup of tea, it is amazing to finally be back at school and to be able to see everyone in person again. It is exciting to be one of the Head Girls this year, even with all of the new challenges in place. With Lotta and Lucy from 2019/20 (and many of the previous Head Girls) as our role models, I’m sure that we will be able to tackle anything we may face. When I’m not busy with school I love to bake and have, like Lila, been watching way too much Harry Potter over lockdown (we’re both Ravenclaws which definitely says something!). I am really looking forward to seeing what our final year at The Abbey has in store with the new Head, Mr le Fleming.
