Professional Recital: Nicky Spence and Roger Vignoles

Friend of The Abbey and acclaimed pianist Roger Vignoles is returning to The Abbey once again joined this time by Tenor Nicky Spence.

Hailed by the Daily Telegraph as ‘a voice of real distinction,’ Nicky Spence is fast emerging as ‘one of our brightest young tenors.’ An artist of great integrity, Nicky Spence’s unique skills as a singing actor and the rare honesty in his musicianship are steadfastly earning him a place at the top of the profession.

Roger Vignoles is internationally recognised as one of the world’s most distinguished piano accompanists and musicians of today. He regularly partners the finest singers in major venues around the world and is regarded as a leading authority on the song repertoire.

We are very grateful to both musicians for finding time in their busy schedules to perform for us.

Programme: a selection of English and German songs by Britten, Schubert, Kurt Weill and Richard Strauss.

Tickets: £15 for adults and £7.50 for students/concessions. Tickets include the pre-concert talk.
