Careers and Higher Education Convention

Open to pupils, parents and siblings in Upper IV to Upper VI (staff and their children welcome) 

Following a hugely successful event in 2016, Senior School pupils are once again invited to The Abbey's Careers and Higher Education Convention. The event is highly recommended for girls in Upper IV and above, whether considering GCSE subject choices, universities or possible careers. Pupils will be able to benefit from the advice and experience of over 30 Abbey alumnae and learn about the wealth of career opportunities available to them by speaking to, and hearing from, representatives from a wide range of industries and professions. There will also be opportunities to discuss subject choices and courses with leading universities from across the UK. 

A programme of talks will enable girls to hear about real-world experiences from representatives in different industries and at different stages in their careers - from a director of a groundbreaking charity to a consultant cardiologist. The confirmed schedule of talks is as follows:
