In the Computer Science Department, students took part in the Bebras Computational Thinking challenge through Oxford University. It is a competition aimed at raising awareness of Computer Science in a fun and rewarding way.

The competition involves solving problems using computational thinking skills. Students competed from 2nd – 14th November in lessons.

The Abbey School was victorious in Upper III, with one student achieving a perfect score of 200 points. Congratulations to Jo from Upper III! In Lower IV, Juliette scored 152 points which was the best in the year group. Fantastic effort Juliette!

Out of the 155 participants in Upper III and Lower IV, 55 students achieved in the top 10% in the United Kingdom.

These students are invited to enter the TCS Oxford Computing Challenge in March. Well done everyone who competed.
