On Friday 26 January the Charity Prefects hosted a charity quiz night in aid of Kids for Kids and Alexander Devine Children’s Hospital, two charities supporting children worldwide. Sixth Form students, teachers and parents took part in the quiz, which had the theme of ‘A Night at the Movies’. Food included movie-themed snacks such as popcorn and hot dogs and each table had the theme of a separate famous film. As usual there was a competitive atmosphere which was heightened by the inclusion of Joker Round and the table quiz, which some teams used to their success. Each round was given a creative name, such as ‘Spellbound’ for the spelling round, ‘All about Eve’, which focused on apples, and ‘Reboot my Kindle’, which featured famous reboots. After eight exciting rounds the quiz was finally won by the English Department and was followed by a raffle. Prizes for the raffle included a kayaking trip and vouchers for brands such as TicketMaster and Arbonne. Overall, the night was filled with fun and raised money for two brilliant charities.
