Sixth Form News

This week our A-Level Historians celebrated the 500th anniversary of the publication of Luther’s 95 Theses and the beginning of the German Reformation. To celebrate in style, Emma, one of our keen Historians made a delicious chocolate cake, decorated with key events of the Reformation. Her fellow A-Level Historians had to demonstrate detailed knowledge of these key events, before they were allowed a slice! Luther lived, preached and practised in the state of Saxony Anhalt where Luther Bread (Lutherbrot) and Luther Cookies (Lutherkeks) are sweet delicacies; we think that Emma’s chocolate cake was a great addition to the celebrations!
