The Senior School today welcomed back Sarah Gaselee, an alumna who left the Abbey in 1992. As part of the School’s Modern Languages Week events, Sarah delivered a talk to Senior School pupils on how her modern language studies have positively influenced her career to date. With a degree in Geography and Hispanic Studies, followed by a Geography Masters, she went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.
Throughout her accountancy career, her Spanish language skills have served to secure her numerous new opportunities, and have provided all manner of interesting client assignments in Europe and beyond. Sarah’s talk delivered some excellent insights into the role of modern language skills in the workplace, and the value that employers place on them. During a tour of the school, Sarah was delighted to be able to catch up with her former geography teacher, Mrs Gray!Back to newsroom
